Lovable vs v0: Which AI App Builder Should You Use?

Compared on price per person and per team, how credits are spent, code and hosting, with a clear pick for each kind of project.

Balram Kapoor

The short answer: pick Lovable if you want a complete web app, with logins and a database, without touching code. Pick v0 if you're a developer or designer who wants clean Next.js code in GitHub and hosting on Vercel. For one person the price is similar. For a team, Lovable is cheaper, because v0 charges per user.

Full disclosure: GenVibe, the third option at the end, is our product. Lovable and v0 facts below come from their own pricing pages and docs, checked on October 26, 2026.

Where Lovable wins

  • A whole app from one chat. Logins, a database, file storage and hosting come with Lovable Cloud, so a non-developer can get a working product without wiring services together.
  • No seat pricing. Every plan allows unlimited members sharing one credit balance.
  • Easier to budget. Credits are counted per message, with published examples, and 5 free credits a day come on top.
  • Design that looks finished. Lovable's first drafts are polished enough to show customers.

Where it falls short: the free plan can't edit code inside Lovable, download a ZIP, use a custom domain or remove the badge, and there are no mobile apps. See Lovable pricing explained.

Where v0 wins

  • Developer-grade code. v0 writes Next.js with modern UI components, the kind of code a developer is happy to take over.
  • Vercel deploys on the free plan. You can sync code to GitHub and deploy to Vercel without paying.
  • Model choice. Cheap models for small edits, stronger ones for hard problems, each with its own token rate.
  • Vercel behind it. Hosting, domains and databases from the same company that runs your app.

Where it falls short: per-user pricing adds up for teams, token pricing makes the cost of a long chat hard to guess, the free plan is small, and it builds web apps only. See v0 pricing explained and the best v0 alternatives.

Which should you choose?

  • You don't code and want a working product: Lovable.
  • You're a developer, or handing the code to one: v0.
  • A team of three or more: Lovable, with no per-seat pricing.
  • Your company already hosts on Vercel: v0.
  • You need a mobile app: neither; see the third option below.

A third option: GenVibe

GenVibe builds web apps and React Native (Expo) mobile apps from a prompt, a Figma design or a screenshot. You test the mobile app on your phone while it builds, and on paid plans you can send Android apps to Google Play from the chat. Publishing to a live link is free on every plan, code can go to GitHub, and paid plans start at $12 a month for 100 credits ($9 for the first month), not per seat.

Where it loses: v0's Next.js code and Vercel hosting suit developer teams better, Lovable's default design is more polished, and GenVibe's free plan is 20 credits once, not a daily allowance.
