How to Cancel Your Base44 Subscription

The four steps on the web, plans bought on iPhone or Android, what happens to your apps and credits, refunds, and what to save before your plan ends.

The short answer: on base44.com, click your workspace name at the bottom left, then Settings, Plan & Subscriptions, the three-dot menu on your plan's row, and Cancel plan. You keep the plan until the end of the billing period. Base44 doesn't refund the current period, and after that your workspace is on Free: up to 5 apps and the badge back on.

These steps come from Base44's own help docs, checked on October 30, 2026. GenVibe, mentioned at the end, is our product.

How to cancel Base44, step by step

  1. Open your workspace settings. On base44.com, click your workspace name at the bottom left, then click Settings. In a mobile browser, tap the menu icon at the top left first.
  2. Go to Plan & Subscriptions. Under General, click Plan & Subscriptions. If a downgrade is scheduled, click Cancel Change here before you cancel.
  3. Open the menu on your plan. In the Subscriptions table, click the More actions icon (the three dots) on your plan’s row.
  4. Click Cancel plan and confirm. Click Cancel plan and follow the prompts. Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period, then the workspace moves to the Free plan.

Changed your mind? Until the period ends, click Reactivate Plan on the same page. Base44 doesn't offer a pause, so the choice is cancel, keep paying, or move to a cheaper plan.

Bought your plan on an iPhone or Android phone?

Then the store bills you, and you cancel with the store, not on base44.com:

  • iPhone or iPad: open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions and select Base44. Ask Apple for any refund.
  • Android: manage the subscription in Google Play, like any other subscription on your phone.

What happens after you cancel

ThingAfter your plan ends
Your planFull access until the end of the billing period, then the Free plan
Your appsFree allows up to 5. With more, you pick which 5 stay published; the rest are unpublished
Unused creditsExpire at the reset, as they do every month; Free gives 25 message credits a month
"Edit with Base44" badgeTurns back on for your apps
Paid-only featuresMay stop working: custom domains, code edits and GitHub all need a paid plan
Superagent phone numberReleased (the Superagent itself keeps working)
RefundNone for the current period

Before your plan ends: save these four things

  • Your code, if you're on Builder or above. The ZIP download and GitHub sync only work on Builder and higher plans, so do it before the period ends. On Starter you can't export the code. See how to export your code from Base44.
  • Your data. The code export leaves out your records. Export each table as a CSV file: open Dashboard, then Data, pick the table, and use Export in its More actions menu.
  • Your domain. Custom domains are a Starter-and-up feature. If customers use yours, plan where it will point next. See how custom domains work on Base44.
  • Your published apps. If you have more than 5, decide now which 5 should stay live on Free.

One warning from Base44's own docs: don't dispute the charge with your bank first. A chargeback suspends your whole workspace while it's open, so contact Customer Care before you do anything else.

Cancel, or move to a cheaper plan?

If the problem is the price rather than Base44 itself, Starter costs $20 a month, or $16 a month billed yearly, for 100 message credits. A downgrade also takes effect at the end of your billing period. Our Base44 pricing guide compares every plan.

Frequently asked questions

How do I cancel my Base44 subscription?

Click your workspace name at the bottom left, then Settings. Under General, open Plan & Subscriptions, click the More actions icon on your plan’s row in the Subscriptions table, click Cancel plan and confirm. You keep the plan until the end of the billing period.

Does Base44 give a refund when I cancel?

No. Cancelling stops future renewals but doesn’t refund the current period, and Base44’s docs say all Base44 services are non-refundable. If you have special circumstances, contact Base44 Customer Care. If you upgraded to the wrong plan by mistake, tell them straight away: approved exceptions get a prorated refund minus processing fees.

What happens to my Base44 apps when I cancel?

They move to the Free plan at the end of the billing period. Free allows up to 5 apps: if you have more, you choose which 5 stay published and the others are unpublished. The “Edit with Base44” badge turns back on, and features that need a paid plan stop being available.

I subscribed in the Base44 iPhone or Android app. How do I cancel?

Cancel with the store you paid. On an iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions and select Base44. For a plan bought in the Android app, manage the subscription in Google Play. Base44 can’t cancel or refund store subscriptions for you.

Can I pause my Base44 subscription instead of cancelling?

No. Base44 doesn’t offer pausing. You can cancel, or downgrade to a cheaper plan, which takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Can I undo a Base44 cancellation?

Yes, until the billing period ends. Click Reactivate Plan on the Plan & Subscriptions page to keep your plan.
