How to Remove the “Edit with Base44” Badge

The toggle that hides it, the plan you need, why the badge lets visitors copy your app, and why it comes back after a downgrade.

The short answer: on the Starter plan or above, open your app's Dashboard, click Settings and turn off the Platform Badge toggle. There's no free way to hide it, and it turns back on if your workspace moves back to the Free plan.

These steps come from Base44's own help docs, checked on October 30, 2026. GenVibe, mentioned at the end, is our product.

How to hide the Base44 badge, step by step

  1. Be on the Starter plan or above. Hiding the badge needs Starter or a higher plan. Starter is $20 a month, or $16 a month billed yearly.
  2. Open your app’s dashboard. In the app editor, click Dashboard.
  3. Open Settings. Click Settings in the left menu.
  4. Turn off Platform Badge. Switch the Platform Badge toggle off. Do the same in each app you publish, since the setting is per app.

Why the badge is worth hiding

The badge is a small "Edit with Base44" label at the bottom right of your live app. It's more than branding: according to Base44's docs, anyone who clicks it can copy your app into their own Base44 account and edit their own version. Hiding the badge also stops that copying. For a client project or a paid product, that's the real reason to switch it off.

Is Starter worth it just for the badge?

Starter costs $20 a month, or $16 a month billed yearly, and comes with more than the badge: 100 message credits a month, no cap on the number of apps, code edits inside Base44 and a custom domain. If you only want the badge gone on a finished app, those extras may decide it. Our Base44 pricing guide has every plan, and our Base44 custom domain guide covers the domain setup.

Frequently asked questions

How do I remove the “Edit with Base44” badge?

On the Starter plan or above, open your app editor, click Dashboard, click Settings in the left menu and turn off the Platform Badge toggle.

Can I remove the Base44 badge for free?

No. Hiding the badge needs the Starter plan or above. The badge only shows on public apps, but private apps also need Starter or above, so there’s no free way around it.

Why does the Base44 badge matter?

Besides showing that you built the app with Base44, the badge lets anyone who clicks it copy your app into their own Base44 account and edit their own version. Hiding the badge also stops people copying your app.

Why did my Base44 badge come back?

Because the workspace moved back to the Free plan, after a cancellation or a downgrade. The badge turns back on for your apps on Free and is hidden again when you upgrade.

Which AI app builders let you remove the badge on a cheaper plan?

Most builders hide their badge only on a paid plan, so compare the cheapest paid plan. Base44 Starter is $20 a month ($16 billed yearly); GenVibe’s plans start at $12 a month for 100 credits ($9 for the first month), and every paid plan publishes without the GenVibe badge.
