Figma Make Pricing (2026): Is Figma Make Free?

What Figma Make costs on each Figma plan, how many AI credits you get, what a credit actually buys, and when a cheaper tool makes more sense.

Balram Kapoor

The short answer: Figma Make is free to try on the Starter plan, with 500 AI credits a month and no more than 150 a day. To use it fully you need a Full seat on a paid plan: $20 a month on Professional (or $16 a month billed yearly) with 3,000 AI credits a month. Make has no separate subscription; it runs on the same AI credits as Figma's other AI features.

Below is what each plan includes, what a credit really buys and the limits worth knowing before you pay. All prices and limits are from Figma's pricing page and help center, checked on October 11, 2026.

Figma Make plans and prices at a glance

PlanFull seat, monthlyFull seat, billed yearlyAI credits a month
Starter$0n/a500 (at most 150 a day)
Professional$20$16 a month3,000
Organizationn/a$55 a month3,500
Enterprisen/a$90 a month4,250

Figma charges per seat, and the seat decides what you can do in Make. Dev seats ($15 a month on Professional, or $12 billed yearly) and Collab seats ($5, or $3 yearly) include 500 AI credits a month, but in Make they can only create files in drafts, which they can't share. For real Make work, plan on a Full seat.

Is Figma Make free?

Yes, you can try it for free on the Starter plan, with clear limits:

  • 500 AI credits a month, 150 a day at most. The daily cap stops you using the month's credits in one sitting.
  • Publishing goes through the Figma Community. Starter users can publish a Make app to the public web only if they also publish it to the Figma Community, and custom domains need a paid plan.
  • No team libraries. Team libraries are a paid feature, so on Starter you can't give Make your shared styles and components as context.

By Figma's own examples (below), 500 credits is about five apps generated from scratch a month, or one app and a few edits a day under the 150-credit cap. To compare free plans across builders, see the free AI app builder roundup.

What a Figma Make credit buys

Figma doesn't charge a flat price per prompt. Each model in Make has its own price, and you choose the model for every prompt, so a more powerful model costs noticeably more. Bigger tasks and longer chats (more context to read) cost more too. These are Figma's own examples:

Task in Figma MakeAbout
Change the font30+ credits
Make an attached design interactive75+ credits
Generate an app from scratch100+ credits

Figma calls these figures approximate, because AI output varies from run to run. As a rough guide, a Full seat's 3,000 credits covers about 30 new apps a month, or around 100 small edits.

Do Figma AI credits roll over?

No. AI credits expire every month. When you run out, Figma shows a message in the product; you can ask your admin for more or wait until your credits reset. Admins can buy extra credits for the whole plan, as a subscription or pay-as-you-go.

What you can build with Figma Make

  • Prototypes and web apps. Describe an app or start from your design, and Make builds a working React app you can click through.
  • A backend through Supabase. Make can add sign-in, save form answers and content, and store API keys as secrets. It stores data as simple key-value records rather than setting up full database tables.
  • Publishing and domains. Full seats on paid plans can publish; Professional allows up to 10 custom domains, Organization and Enterprise unlimited.
  • Your code. You can download it as a zip (with a Full or Dev seat) or push it to a GitHub repository from Make settings.

What Figma Make doesn't build: mobile apps

Make builds prototypes and web apps. It doesn't produce a React Native or native project for the App Store and Google Play, so for a real phone app you need a different tool. The best React Native app builders compares the options.

Which Figma plan should you choose for Make?

  • Starter to try Make, or for a few small prototypes a month.
  • Professional with a Full seat ($20, or $16 billed yearly) if you build in Make every week. 3,000 credits a month is plenty for most solo designers.
  • Organization if your company needs shared libraries across teams, admin controls and security; Make itself works the same.

A cheaper option: GenVibe

If you want an app built from your Figma design without paying for a Figma seat, or you need a mobile app, GenVibe imports the design by link and builds it:

Credits aren't the same unit across tools, so compare what you can build, not the raw numbers. GenVibe meters credits by how much work the AI does, and its default Auto mode picks a model your balance can finish with: on the free plan, it built a 10-feature task manager for 2.07 credits.

Where Figma Make wins: it lives inside Figma next to your design system, and its free credits renew every month, while GenVibe's 20 are a one-time start. If you design in Figma and want quick prototypes there, Make is the natural choice. If you want a working web or mobile app from your design at a lower monthly price, try GenVibe free → and choose Import from Figma.

Frequently asked questions

Is Figma Make free?

Yes, on the Starter plan: 500 AI credits a month, with at most 150 a day. Figma’s own examples put a new app at about 100 credits, so that is roughly five new apps a month. Starter users can publish to the web only if they also publish to the Figma Community, and custom domains need a paid plan.

How much does Figma Make cost?

Figma Make comes with a Full seat. On the Professional plan a Full seat is $20 a month billed monthly, or $16 a month billed yearly, and includes 3,000 AI credits a month. Organization Full seats are $55 a month (3,500 credits) and Enterprise $90 (4,250 credits), both billed yearly.

How many credits does a Figma Make prompt use?

There is no fixed price per prompt. It depends on the AI model you choose, how complex the task is and how much context the chat carries. Figma’s examples: changing a font costs about 30+ credits, making an attached design interactive about 75+, and generating an app from scratch about 100+.

Do Figma AI credits roll over?

No. AI credits expire at the end of each month. When you run out, you wait for the next reset, or an admin on your plan buys more credits.

Can I export the code from Figma Make?

Yes. People with a Full or Dev seat can download the code as a zip from the code editor, and you can push it to a GitHub repository from Make settings.

Can Figma Make build mobile apps?

Figma Make builds prototypes and web apps, not native iPhone or Android apps. For an app in the App Store or Google Play you need a React Native or native tool.

Is there a cheaper alternative to Figma Make?

GenVibe imports your Figma design by link and builds a web app or a React Native (Expo) mobile app from it. It is free to start with 20 credits and no card, paid plans start at $12/month for 100 credits ($9 for the first month), and every plan, including free, publishes your app to a live URL.
