The short answer: on bolt.new, click your profile icon at the bottom left, then Subscription, Billing details and Cancel subscription, and finish in the StackBlitz billing portal. Your plan and tokens last until the end of the billing period, then you drop to the free 1 million tokens a month. Bolt doesn't give refunds.
These steps come from Bolt's own help center, checked on October 30, 2026. GenVibe, mentioned at the end, is our product.
How to cancel Bolt, step by step
- Open your subscription. Log in to bolt.new. In the sidebar on the homepage, click your profile icon at the bottom left, then click Subscription.
- Open Billing details. Click Billing details in the top-right corner.
- Start the cancellation. Click Cancel subscription, then Next in the “Are you sure you want to cancel?” dialog. The StackBlitz billing portal opens; StackBlitz is the company behind Bolt.
- Pick a reason and confirm. Choose a reason, click Next, leave feedback if you like, then click Cancel subscription. Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period.
Cancelling is the same as downgrading to the Free plan. On a monthly plan it takes effect at the start of your next billing period; on an annual plan, at your next annual renewal. Until then you can click Resume subscription under Billing details to keep your plan.
What happens after you cancel
| Thing | After the billing period ends |
|---|---|
| Your tokens | Free allowance: 1 million a month, at most 300,000 a day, no rollover |
| Rollover tokens | Locked; you get unexpired ones back if you resubscribe in time |
| Your published site | Stays on bolt.host, within 10 GB and 333,333 requests a month |
| A custom domain | The site already on it stays online, but you can't republish to it or reconnect it |
| "Made in Bolt" badge | Added the next time you publish |
| Refund | None: Bolt subscriptions are non-refundable |
One trap: if you've already used more than 1 million tokens this month when your plan ends, you won't get free tokens until the 1st of next month.
That Link.com*Bolt.new charge
From November 1, 2026, Link, a payment service built by Stripe, handles billing for Bolt subscriptions. Charges show on your card statement as Link.com*Bolt.new and receipts come from notification@link.com. Your plan and tokens don't change, and where your region requires it, Link adds sales tax or VAT. You still cancel inside Bolt, as above.
Before you cancel: save these four things
- Your code. Click the project title at the top left and choose Download for a ZIP, or connect GitHub so every change is saved in your own repository. Bolt's help center lists no plan requirement for either. See how to export your code from Bolt.
- Your data. In the database panel, open each table, select the rows and export them as CSV or JSON.
- Your database, if you want to keep it running. Claiming a Bolt database into your own Supabase account needs a Pro or Teams plan, so do it before your plan ends.
- Your domain plan. You can't republish to a custom domain on Free, so decide where it will point if you'll keep changing the site.
Cancel, or move to a smaller plan?
If you're cancelling because a bigger Pro tier costs too much, you can downgrade to a smaller one instead. Pro starts at $25 a month for 10 million tokens, or $18 a month billed yearly. See our Bolt pricing guide, or compare options in the best Bolt.new alternatives.

Frequently asked questions
How do I cancel my Bolt.new subscription?
On bolt.new, click your profile icon at the bottom left of the sidebar, then Subscription. Click Billing details, then Cancel subscription, then Next. In the StackBlitz billing portal, pick a reason, click Next and confirm with Cancel subscription.
Does Bolt give a refund?
No. Bolt’s help center says Bolt subscriptions are non-refundable under its terms of service. For questions about a charge, email support@bolt.new from the address on your paid account.
What happens to my Bolt tokens when I cancel?
You can use them until the billing period ends. After that you lose access to your plan’s tokens, rollover tokens included, and move to the free allowance of 1 million tokens a month (300,000 a day). Resubscribe before rollover tokens expire and you get them back.
Will my Bolt site stay online after I cancel?
Yes, at its bolt.host address, within the free hosting limits of 10 GB and 333,333 requests a month. A site already on a custom domain stays online, but on Free you can’t republish to that domain or reconnect it, and the Made in Bolt badge appears the next time you publish.
What is the Link.com*Bolt.new charge on my statement?
From November 1, 2026, Link, a payment service built by Stripe, handles billing for Bolt subscriptions, so charges show as Link.com*Bolt.new and receipts come from notification@link.com. Your plan doesn’t change, and you still cancel inside Bolt.
Can I undo a Bolt cancellation?
Yes, until it takes effect. Go to Subscription, then Billing details, and click Resume subscription on the Resume subscription card, then confirm. Resuming doesn’t charge you straight away.
